Do You Want Gas With That Footlong?

A new staple of the American diet. The whole Fed Up crew loves Subway. Its hard not to find something you like there…There is a good range of sandwich and salad options. Ok its nothing fancy, and they are amazingly stingy with their napkins, but overall its usually a decent eating experience.

And, Subways are pretty much everywhere in the USA, and so they can save you from having to pull out your emergency snack if you are on the road and hungry.

I have to give Mrs Fed Up for realizing something that has pretty much changed our lives…the food at a stand-alone-Subway is almost always much better than at a Subway attached to a gas station. Seriously, compare sandwich to sandwich. You too will realize that Subways that are shoved into the far corners of gas stations, like hastily added on after-thoughts, almost always have a lower quality of meal that is served up.

Maybe its all the gas fumes, but there is just something different about most of the Subways that are attached to retail locations whose primary focus is fueling up your car and not your body. They may have the same menu, same ingredients and same professionally trained “sandwich artists,” but Subways that stand alone and are not associated with some sleazy gas-station convenience store, just make food that taste better.

So go the extra mile and feed yourself a better meal, even if its only a simple sandwich or salad.
